James – Office Administrator

James is the latest addition to the team. With a background in writing, filmmaking, and office management, he will be taking over Daytripper’s administrative affairs and assisting with the planning and delivery of events.

“I’m hugely excited to be joining this varied and talented team. Mostly looking forward to staging inspirational events for some of the UK’s most deserving young people and challenging the public’s perceptions about disability.”


Keeley – Charity Manager

Keeley joined the Daytrippers Team as the Charity Manager in March 2016. She brings over 12 years’ experience of working with children, young people and families. Keeley is passionate about supporting young disabled people to develop confidence, resilience and to enjoy and achieve. Keeley oversees general management of the charity, strengthening programmes and developing events which challenge young people and encourage inclusivity.

“I’m really excited to be part of the Daytrippers team. The charity not only provides children and young people an opportunity to take part in unique and fun experiences, but also works collaboratively, bringing families, schools, and support groups together.”

First coming on board in 2006, and appointed Trustee in 2010, Leila has helped Daytrippers grow over the years into where it is now. She has injected a bit of creativity into the events program since it was first developed and is the go to person for anything that involves design. Although not only being just arty, she has a firm eye on the budgets and is often meticulously overusing Excel spreadsheets to ensure all the targets we set ourselves are achieved.

“Daytrippers is infectious. As soon as people get involved once they tend to want to keep coming back. I’m about as addicted to it as I am salt and vinegar crisps!”


MarleneMarlene – Head of Security

It’s not every day that you get a member of the team like Marlene, but here at Daytrippers we are proud to have taken her on as our Head of Security. This French Bulldog happily revels in this voluntary role and proudly has her own desk in the office so she can focus on her duties. Despite the fact that she isn’t allowed at many of our events, Marlene has met some Daytrippers in the past and was very sensitive to allowing them to get to know her at their own pace. She is a hard worker and will attend all meetings in the office (unless it is nap time, where you will find her taking a break on the sofa).

SIMONSimon – Trustee

After volunteering with Daytrippers at our Pan-Disability Football Tournament for a few years, Simon became hooked on our charity and was proudly appointed as a Trustee in the summer of 2014. Simon offers a creative input specialising in Creative Branding & Marketing Solutions, but we at Daytrippers really mainly utilise his calm nature and boundless energy, particularly when it comes to refereeing penalty shoot outs.

Jonny – Chief Trustee

Jonny founded Daytrippers in 2003 as he wanted to make a difference by building a charity where 100% of the donations go directly to the cause. He remains heavily involved in all that Daytrippers does, and particularly enjoys the events where real obstacles are overcome, providing a truly unique experience for young disabled people.
